OWNER OF TASK 3 IS ITALIAN TEAM WITH FOUR COMPATRIOTS IN THE FIRST FIVE IN GOAL

Italy, leaded by Flavio Tebaldi, placed four pilots in the first five. Austrian Ruhmer, after classification reworking, won the task by more leading point.
Third task not so long due to difficult weather conditions, but so hard. Forecast were so different from yesterday, with a potential storm coming from Veneto which, as the meteoman of the event Damiano Zanocco said to us, woke up the plain allowing the pilots to chose the fastest way to Cividale del Friuli, the first turning point of the day.
Selenati and Ciech, both Italians, flew immediately at about 1000m, with Klemenich (SLO), Ruhmer (AUT), Garcia (USA) and Polach (CZ), trying the shortest way to Cividale (the beautiful city founded by Giulio Cesare, ndr).
The route of the day provided then to go to the second turning point located in Gemona and then the final landing, as ever, in Bordano.
Few pilots decided to fly nearly the mountain: they arrived to increase their altitude but losing time for the more chilometres to run. Only Galovec, from Slovenia, chose the third window to start, flying by only himself with no reference points.
At the frist turning point, the head group was made by Ruhmer (AUT), Ciech (ITA) and Sandoli (BRA), just ahead to Marco Laurenzi (ITA), Glauco Pinto (the strong Brazilian champion with a lot of records also on distance) and the Slovenian Matjaz Klemencic.
Some pilots landed before the goal due the weather conditions and also Pinto, incredibly, had to stop.
The only women in race, Japanese Sato, had an accident during outside goal landing: she was immediately rescue by Soccorso Alpino and the organization, who has at least three people into the HQ looking continuously pilot tracks on the screen. She’s now at the hospital for normal checkings in good health conditions, and everybody hope to see her again flying as soon as possible.
Tanzer, the young Dutch pilot, tried to escape from the group, following by Ploner, Laurenzi, Ruhmer, Ciech and Selenati; they flew fast to Gemona del Friuli to the second and last turning point at about 1000m of level, altitude that allowed them to land in Bordano with no other stops to find out thermals.  Italian team was amazing, with four pilots in the first fifth and we’re talking (in order) about the pluri World and European Champion Ploner, Flyve’s young pilot Marco Laurenzi, Christian Ciech and the local Suan Selenati.
Second, the never tame Manfred Ruhmer, Austrian who’s been living in Italy for many years, who after the check of pilot tracks, won the task by more leading points.
This is the classification for the first ten pilots in goal; after all checks, it will be available at the website  https://airtribune.com/22nd-fai-world-hg-championship/results. We remind also that on our official FB page and at the official web site www.italy2019.com, we will publish the unofficial results of the task every evening and, every morning, the official overall one.
